We give communities the power to change by partnering with community-based organizations, corporations and/or local government across Indiana. These partnerships enable us to leverage your donations for greater impact.
Common Goal
A new partnership of which we are especially proud is our partnership with the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce’s Common Goal Program. In June 2008, the Pacers Foundation, along with the Pacers and Fever, made a $500,000 commitment to the program. Common Goal aims at increasing the Marion County high school graduation rate from 70% to 80%, resulting in more than 2,000 additional graduates around Indianapolis in the next four years. Spearheaded by the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Common Goal is an active collaboration of educators, community organizations, and business leaders all working together to achieve our common goal of increasing graduation rates in Indianapolis. The Common Goal Task Force works in collaboration with educators to design customized programs and interventions for each of the eleven school districts in Marion County, ensuring that we help create the kinds of schools we need, and students deserve.
Be Charitable, Encouraging Indiana’s Youth to Give
One of our flagship community partnerships is a partnership between the Pacers Foundation and The LEAGUE, Be Charitable is a school-based program designed to teach kids about philanthropy and encourage volunteerism. By teaching our kids to “give back” we are raising our next generation to not only help others, but help themselves too. Now in 160 schools statewide, this winning program is giving thousands of kids a winning shot in life.
