The Annual Indiana Fever Bowling Tournament is a night of bowling fun with the entire Fever team and coaching staff to raise funds for the Be YOUnique Fund, a grant fund of the Pacers Foundation Inc., which supports Indiana nonprofits focused on girls and their specific needs.
Corporate Partner and fan teams receive a celebrity bowler including Fever players and coaches while other area celebrities have joined such as Pacers and Colts players. The event includes bowling prizes, a silent auction, autographs, a gift and food. The event has been held at Pinheads in Fishers, Ind., the past several years and has become a favorite day out of the season for many. Since 2001, the tournament has raised more than $218,000.
The 2017 Fever Bowling Tournament raised over $22,000 for the cause.
The vision of the Indiana Fever’s Fever Cares Fund is to be recognized as a leading funding resource for programs that encourage the development of valuable life skills among young women throughout the state of Indiana. These programs build self-esteem, promote a positive body image and educate about dating violence while providing services to those who have experienced such violence.
Specific to the Fever Cares Fund, organizations benefiting since 2001, among others, are the Children’s Bureau, Girls Incorporated® of Indianapolis, Girl Scouts, Sheltering Wings, Gurl Code, Girls Talk Inc., Ascent 121 and the Domestic Violence Network.
